No matter what happens in your life, you have the power to let it go! Angel Bartlett is living proof. Her past fuels her motivation to walk in her truth and empower other women to do the same. As a social worker, child-welfare advocate, author, therapist, professional certified life coach, and motivational speaker, she is dedicated to helping women emerge from discouraging circumstances with victory and strength.

Angel endured a childhood marred by physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. She spent most of her formative years in foster care and landed in the juvenile detention system before aging out of foster care at 21. However, those years of calamity were not in vain. Amid adversity, Angel’s capacity to help others was born. After completing the requirements for a GED, Angel earned a master’s degree in social and then went onto pursue her LCSW and she is currently pursuing a doctoral degree. For the past 14 years, she has devoted herself to helping others heal.

A triumphant survivor, Angel is the founder of Let It Go Agency where she service as the head psychotherapist. The program encourages women and others to put the past behind them, heal from depression and anxiety, and charge forward with confidence. Through trial and error, Angel learned that the keys to success are forgiving yourself and letting go of the past. Doing so will give you the clear head you need to focus on your vision. Let IT Go Coaching and counseling gives women and others practical steps to conquer their internal struggles like low self-esteem and guilt as well as external roadblocks to find the truth, vision, and peace that are required for success.

Angel is also the author of two books. In Cleaning out My Closet: How the Truth Will Set You Free, she chronicles the trials and tribulations she endured, including abusive relationships, having children out of wedlock, and financial hardships. Not only does she share her tumultuous story, but she also invites readers to follow her on the path she traveled to self-discovery. By sharing her story, Angel teaches readers how to avoid some pitfalls in life and how to reach success, even if it means surviving some brokenness along the way.

Wounded, but Not Broken follows a young girl’s true story of abuse and neglect. After suffering at the hands of her parents and other relatives, she is placed in foster care only to endure an equally troubling journey. As an adult, she finds triumph in her pain and vows to use it to help others. This book will empower those who have endured destructive behaviors and educate social workers, probation officers, and others in the human services field.

Angel has also recently established her 501C3 Girl I Got-You. The nonprofit organization will offer mentoring services and supportive independent living for young women who have aged out of foster care. It will also provide assistance for single parents who need a second chance.

With each step she takes, Angel is reminded of God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord. ‘Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’" She is grateful that God has graced her with power, authority, and the fruits of the spirit. Now she has devoted her life to inspiring others and helping them to fulfill their destiny. She is committed to providing women and others with tools that will bolster their self-esteem, help them conquer self-defeating behaviors, and propel them to new seasons of success.
